Unsere Geschichte
Pulpdent ist ein 1947 gegründetes, familiengeführtes zahnmedizinisches Forschungs- und Produktionsunternehmen, das sich seinen Gründungsprinzipien der Aufklärung, Prävention und proaktiven Zahnpflege verschrieben hat, damit die Menschen ein gesünderes und produktiveres Leben führen können.
Die Forschung und Produktentwicklung von Pulpdent zielt darauf ab, die Heilkräfte der Natur mit bioaktiven Materialien freizusetzen, die die physikalischen und chemischen Eigenschaften der Zahnstruktur nachahmen, sich in der feuchten Mundumgebung günstig verhalten und das Potenzial zur Remineralisierung maximieren.
Grundlegende Prinzipien
Der Gründer von Pulpdent, Dr. Harold Berk, praktizierte fast 65 Jahre lang als Zahnarzt und lehrte von 1946 bis 2005 an der Fakultät der Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Die Kernprinzipien von Dr. Berk leiten das Unternehmen weiterhin:

Hergestellt in den USA
Pulpdent-Produkte werden in Watertown, Massachusetts, USA, in Übereinstimmung mit dem Qualitätssystem des Unternehmens und allen behördlichen Anforderungen hergestellt. Jedes Jahr erneuern wir unsere Verpflichtung, in Forschung und neue Technologien zu investieren, das Vertrauen der Fachwelt zu gewinnen, Kliniker mit neuen Ideen und Materialien zu inspirieren und die Führung zu übernehmen, um diese Ziele zu erreichen.
Leiterschaft
Don Berk has been with Pulpdent since 1976 and directs the engineering department and manages Pulpdent’s manufacturing facilities in Watertown, MA. Don holds a BFA in Ceramics from California College of the Arts. In his spare time he enjoys sailing, skiing, cooking and baking.
Lew ensures that Pulpdent’s operations align with overall corporate strategy. Prior to Pulpdent Lewis was Associate General Counsel for a national real estate developer, where he managed the company’s corporate legal needs and oversaw the financing of large-scale affordable housing projects. Lew is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Boston College Law School, where he was an editor on the Environmental Law Journal.
Wonder joined Pulpdent in 2015, bringing over 10 years of combined export and customer service experience from her tenures at PFERD Incorporated and Corning Life Sciences. She serves as the primary contact for Pulpdent’s international dealers, manages foreign orders and logistics, and ensures compliance with all relevant export regulations. Wonder holds an MBA in International Business from Southern New Hampshire University and a BS in Biology with a concentration in Biotechnology from Fitchburg State University. She is a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician through the PTCB and active in her community pharmacy hospital.
Fred Berk joined Pulpdent in 1980 and leads sales, marketing, client relations, operations and compliance. He is responsible for developing the content for Pulpdent’s digital and print communications. Fred is a graduate of Brown University and holds a BA in American Civilization.
Zoë Reiches is responsible for overseeing the human resources function at Pulpdent. The nature of her role allows her to work with all departments to focus on the needs of employees and the ever changing compliance landscape. Prior to joining Pulpdent, Zoë worked in HR in both financial services and the nonprofit world. She holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University.
Marcy Buckler has led Pulpdent’s sales team since 2013 and has more than twenty years of experience in the dental industry. A seasoned sales leader, Marcy is adept at finding, training and motivating sales professionals. Prior to Pulpdent, Marcy successfully managed sales teams and distributor relationships for large dental manufacturers and distributors in the US and Canada and has been a member of over 20 new product launch teams. Marcy holds a BA from American University and certificates in management and real estate from UCLA and NYU.
Christie is a creative problem solver with a passion for empowering women, promoting health, and developing new markets. She is responsible for overseeing Pulpdent’s Professional Relations, KOL Network, and International Business.
Prior to Pulpdent, Christie has successful experience in branding, high level marketing strategy, global market expansion, and sales leadership.
Christie holds a BA in Psychology, with a minor in English Language and Literature from the University of Montana, where she was involved in founding a non-profit health collaborative. She also studied Yoga and holistic health in India.
Marjorie joined Pulpdent in 1992 to establish a comprehensive quality system and manage regulatory affairs. She oversees ISO certification, CE marking, FDA quality system requirements, domestic and international regulatory compliance, 510(k) Premarket Notifications and quality control testing of Class I and II medical devices. Marge has a background in medical research and has worked at several Academic Medical Centers. She holds a BS in Biology from Le Moyne College and an MBA from Boston College.
Allison Millian is responsible for Product Marketing at Pulpdent. She joined Pulpdent in 2011 as the Sales & Marketing Associate, supporting the National Sales Manager, Director of Clinical Affairs and the Pulpdent Sales Team. She works closely with production, shipping and other departments to ensure that customer needs are met.Allison holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Salem State University. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and baking.

Pulpdent hat schon immer ein besonderes Interesse an der öffentlichen Gesundheit und der Mundgesundheit von Kindern gehabt. Wir arbeiten mit der öffentlichen Gesundheitsbehörde zusammen und unterstützen viele Initiativen zur öffentlichen Gesundheit durch Pulpdent’s Public Health Partnership Program. Qualitätszertifikate
Die Pulpdent Corporation ist seit 1996 nach ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003 und der Richtlinie über Medizinprodukte 93/42/EWG zertifiziert. Das Qualitätsmanagementsystem von Pulpdent wurde von der benannten Stelle LNE/G-MED geprüft und nach den oben genannten Normen und Vorschriften sowie nach den Anforderungen des United States Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, Part 820, Quality System Regulation, und der Canadian Medical Devices Regulation für die Entwicklung, Herstellung und den Vertrieb von Spezialprodukten für die Zahnmedizin zertifiziert. Während die ISO 9001-Norm ein allgemeines Modell für ein Qualitätsmanagementsystem darstellt, sind die ISO 13485 und die Medizinprodukterichtlinie spezifisch für die Medizinprodukteindustrie und erfordern strenge Kontrollen, wie z. B. ein formelles Risikomanagement und ein internationales Vigilanzsystem zum Schutz der Patienten und des Gesundheitspersonals. Die Zertifizierung nach der Medizinprodukterichtlinie ermöglicht Pulpdent die CE-Kennzeichnung seiner Dentalprodukte für den Verkauf in der Europäischen Gemeinschaft. Die Zertifizierung nach den kanadischen Vorschriften für Medizinprodukte ermöglicht es Pulpdent, Lizenzen von Health Canada für die in Kanada verkauften Produkte zu erhalten.
